UPSC 2020 Civil Service exam centre change process to begin today

UPSC 2020 Civil Service exam centre change process to begin today. Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will activate the link for applicants. This is for 2020 Civil Services Preliminary exam and Indian Forest Services. And candidates can change their exam centre from today, July 7.

The option to change the exam centre for the Civil Services and IFS 2020 preliminary exam participants activated in two phases. The first phase will active from today until July 13.And the second phase will activate from July 20 to July 24.UPSC 2020 Civil Service exam centre change process to begin today

The link will get activate on the official website. Both the exams are schedule on October 4, 2020 based on the revised calendar issued by the UPSC on June 5. The Commission had informed on July 1 that request to change of centre will consider on first-come-first-serve basis. And once the capacity for a centre reached the same will frozen.

UPSC HOW CANDIDATES CAN CHANGE 

The request to change the center will  consider on a “first apply-first allot” basis and capacity of the centre itself. If the centre has reached its maximum capacity then requests for the same centre will not taken but candidates can choose from the others which are available.

Only those candidates who submitted their applications from ’12-02-2020 and 03-03-2020′ will be allowed this option.

The date of examination has been set to be conducted on October 4, 2020, based on the revised calendar issued by the UPSC on June 5th. All the conditions and eligibility mentioned in February remain unchanged.

This is for the first time that the Union Public Service Commission is changing the centres for the candidates due to the pandemic and the ongoing lockdown, there are many travel restrictions still, which has caused a lot of disruptions for students. Many state boards allowed it, students, to change their centres before the examinations as well.
